BizGift Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is “activation”?
A: Activation is the step where you, the gift recipient, set up an account and activate the gift value. Only then is the gift “live” and available to be redeemed for a gift card. The BizGift value is only paid when activated.

Q: Why doesn’t activation always work?
A: Common issues include incorrect email, misreading characters (i.e., i/I and l/L), missing email verification, spam filtering, or browser/device compatibility. If it fails, try verifying your email, using another device, or contacting support.

Q: Can I redeem my gift card right away?
A: Yes. Once you create an account and activate your BizGift card, you may choose from over 300 national brands and redeem the digital gift card immediately from the BizGift Marketplace.

Q: Where is my gift card?
A: Once redeemed you may View your gift card in “My Wallet” - Brand gift cards will provide a gift card number; a bmore than one more than one arcode, if provided; and a PIN, if needed. 

Q: How do I use my gift card?
A: You may use your gift card online or in store - some brands require you to upload your gift card to your brand’s account to use the gift card.

 

Q: Do I have to pay for all of my BizGift card value up front?
A: No. With BizGift’s Pay-On-Activation model, you only pay for those BizGift cards that are activated by the recipient. Unused deposits are fully refundable.

Q: How much should I deposit?
A: We recommend a deposit of 10% of your intended total BizGift card value to begin. But you can set any deposit amount that matches your comfort and campaign scale.

Q: Are there hidden fees or charges?
A: There are no additional fees or charges. The full gift card value is available to your recipient.  You’ll only be charged upon activation, and refunds apply to any unused deposit balance (subject to plan terms).

Q: Why do I need to create an account?
A: Your account helps us manage your BizGift cards, monitor activations and redemptions, access reports, manage payments and deposits, issue refunds, and deliver support. It’s how we keep your data secure and your experience seamless.

Q: What data is collected during activation?
A: Only the information the recipient willingly shares (e.g. name, email, address). We do not collect more than necessary. You’ll see only what they consent to share.

Q: Is my gift card recipient’s info private?
A: Absolutely. Your recipients’ data is never sold or shared. You only receive the contact info they opt into when they Activate.

Q: Is there a simple design template?
A: Yes, we have an easy to use design template to upload your own picture, logo and contact information.  

Q: Can I use my own design or logo?
A: Yes, upload your own design (must meet file specs). We’ll help you match size, resolution, and branding.  View the upload design guidelines.

Q: What file formats / sizes do you support?
A: Your Upload design should be in .jpg or .png format with a Resolution of: 300dpi and no more than 2MB. Recommended Image Size of 1088px x 713px. 

Q: Can I brand the back / choose brand colors?
A: No. The back of the card is NOT customizable.  The value of the card will be represented on the back of the card.

Q: When will I receive my cards?
A: Cards will be printed and shipped via FedEx Ground within two business days after you have Submitted your Design to production.  You may check the status of your order at Orders (you must be logged into your account).

Q: Can I refund unused deposits?
A: Yes — any unused deposit (beyond activations) is refundable.

Q: What if I need help or technical support?
